Memorial Day camping in Idaho City

We spent 4 days up to Idaho City camping and riding the dirt bikes.  My cousins Mark and Shannon and their family's  joined us on Saturday. And Jaime and the gang came up Sunday for a ride. I love going to Idaho City because it is so close.  And we even went to the new Hot Springs that they opened in February. I didn't take my camera, but it was so nice and relaxing.  The best part was getting to take a bath in the middle of the camping trip.  Phil thought this was very gross because I am sure all the other people that were there were dirty campers also.  Ha Ha.  The kids all got to swim and had a great time.
The water was far from warm but they didn't care!

Phil and Addie taking a ride.
 Brek and his blow rocket
We took Hayden's friend Matthew camping with us.  It was only his 2 time ever camping.  I think he had a great time in the woods with the crazy Harris'
 Camp food is the best!!

We bought this bike last year for Hayden and it was a little to tall for him. So Phil red necked a new seat and it fits him perfect now. And when and if he ever gets longer legs we can just put the seat back on.
Giving dad the big squeeze.
Brek loves to ride as much as the rest of us!

Phil saved the day by riding the bike into town for forgotten camp items.
The kids loving on Shannon.

Now that is a cute dirty camping smile!
Mark and Teresa.  It was their first camping trip and I think they had a good time.
Phil giving Kandace a ride to the gold mining spot. And later that day we taught her how to ride by herself. She did great.

 The crazy B's.....Brek and Bryan
And yes these are battery powered and yes they went dead. But we had 3 batteries for 3 days. Brek was so excited that Bryan came up to ride with him for the day.
Hey look I do get to ride sometimes!
Phil loves to pan for gold and this trip he found some. Not enough for retirement but enough that we will probably see lots more of Idaho City this summer.
And what is a memorial day weekend of camping with no rain.

The rain didn't slow the kids down
Hayden and Matthew worked hard on their tpee
 Dylan and Tristan
We are such rednecks.  Most of us were already soaked for getting caught in the rain storm coming back from our ride.
Kandace getting some wet blow kisses.
The boys trying to stay dry!
Look out here comes another!
 Kandace teaching them fish lips.
A great pic of Shannon and Kandace. And for those of you who don't recognize Kandace................. she was the flower girl in our wedding. Yep we are getting so old.  She is a freshman this year at BSU. My kids absolutely adore her and she is so good with them as you can see with all the cute pics.
Brek not wanting to leave Hayden out of the blow kisses!
And that's a smore of a camping trip folks!!

Free day at Wing's

The best part about living in Boise is all the things there is to do. And even better when you can do them for free.  I took Brek and Addie to Wing's for their kick off to summer party. Hayden use to go to preschool/daycare here and loved it. There is a ton to do and the kids had a blast.
The gymnastic room was Addison's favorite.

She made it all the way to the top of this one and got to ring the bell.

Brek did not want to be harnessed up like Addison. So he stuck to the smaller alphabet wall.

Soccer

Addison played her first season of soccer this year and was an animal. She loved it and was very aggressive.  They don't keep score at this level, but just ask Addie and she would tell you at the end and how many goals she scored and that they won.

The first few games we had nice Idaho soccer weather, rain and wind. But the girl's didn't seem to care.

The funniest thing to watch at this age is they take the ball from anybody, even their own team mate.

I am glad that she loved playing and that I know at least one of my kids has a heart for soccer, YEAH!!
She was the team leader and scored several goals in every game she played.  Good job Addison!!

And of coarse whats soccer without a metal. She was super excited.
The people that took these team pics make me laugh.  Lets make sure we get the farm sprinkler for the back ground and pick the windiest day of the year for pictures.
